4N Hope Class
Welcome to 4N - Hope Class
Class Teacher: Mr Shortland
Teaching Assistants: Mrs Favell and Mrs Hubbard
A big welcome back to all of our pupils and families, we can not wait to see you all and hear about your adventures in your time away from school. We have lots of exciting learning planned for you and so many books to share with you.
Our overarching question for term 1 is 'Does religion always bring people together?'
We begin our learning in the Autumn Term exploring the life of the Anglo-Saxon invaders. Do you think any of them settled in Boston all of those years ago?
Our work in PSHE will focus on relationships, enabling us to explore our thoughts and feelings and reflect on the way we create relationships with others and how we can be good friends. This learning will extend into our computing where we will look at our relationships online and how we can be responsible digital citizens.
Linking to Invaders and Settlers, our English and Guided Reading will focus on the epic poem- Beowulf. I am sure many of you will enjoy learning more about this famous piece of work and the interesting characters it describes.
In term 1, we have 2 PE sessions. These will be taking place on a Monday morning (with Mr Melson) and a Wednesday afternoon (with the class teachers). Please can we ask that the correct PE kit is to be in school on these days.
All we are waiting for is you to come and join in the fun! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact school where we will be happy to help you.
Follow our fun and learning on here and on our twitter pages too.
