Year Two Thankfulness Class

Contact the teacher

Dear Children and Parents,

Recently we added a plan  of various activities for you to complete should you choose, along with various links to games and activities.  Many of you have shared with us that you are reading each day which is fantastic!  As we approach the Easter holidays this will not be updated as we want you to enjoy spending time with your families and hopefully some Easter sunshine.  However from April 20th you will find a new overview to help you with your learning.

Hello Class Thankfulness , I hope you are all being superstars at home!

I will post answers to questions here that have been sent to me and will try my best to help you with any other queries.

There is no expectation for you to complete any of the home learning activities - these are just suggestions. The important thing to do is stay safe, healthy and happy and look after your family.

Please do not worry about taking photos of your child's learning, just have fun together! We will be uploading new activities every second week for your child to complete if they wish to. However, if you want to take photos of their work or anything that you have been up to, I would love to see it all when we are back at school or tweet me.

Welcome to 2S

`Be kind and honest and you will live a long life; others will respect you and treat you fairly.`

Proverbs 21:21

We are so excited for our year ahead and can't wait to begin our journey together.

Teacher: Mrs Stockwell

Teaching Assistant: Miss Gray

There will be lots more information coming as we begin the new academic year.

PE sessions will be twice a week and kits should be named and remain in children's lockers all week.  Please can I remind you that children are not permitted to wear earrings in these sessions.  Reading books and logs should be in School daily and children will be changing these regularly.  Children can bring a snack for each day, although we have daily fruit options available.  Children need to have a water bottle (named) in school also.

We will be starting the year with our exciting topic: Ready, Steady, Grow! Which will involve lots of Science and Geography.  Children will also be preparing to lead The Harvest production as well as supporting our local Church and Community by organising the Food Bank collection.

We look forward to working with you, to support your child's development and hope you can be apart of our exhilarating journey.

PE days

Games will be every Tuesday morning wither outside or in the sports hall.

Gymnastics/Dance will be every Wednesday afternoon in the sports hall.

Please ensure you have the correct kit each day.

Reading and Homework Books

Reading books should be in School daily and will be changed twice a week.  Homework will be collected on a Wednesday and set on a Friday as well as weekly spelling tests.
