Year Two Gratitude Class

Dear Children and Parents,

Recently we added a plan  of various activities for you to complete should you choose, along with various links to games and activities.  Many of you have shared with us that you are reading each day which is fantastic!  As we approach the Easter holidays this will not be updated as we want you to enjoy spending time with your families and hopefully some Easter sunshine.  However from April 20th you will find a new overview to help you with your learning.

Hello Class Gratitude, I hope you are all well and happy.

I will post answers to questions here that have been sent to me and will try my best to help you with any other queries.

There is no expectation for you to complete any of the home learning activities - these are just suggestions. The important thing to do is stay safe, healthy and happy and look after your family.

Please do not worry about taking photos of your child's learning, just have fun together! We will be uploading new activities every second week for your child to complete if they wish to. However, if you want to take photos of their work or anything that you have been up to, I would love to see it all when we are back at school or tweet me.

Welcome to Class Gratitude

Welcome to the Gratitude class web page.

On this page, you will find lots of information regarding your child's school day and you will have an insight into all the exciting learning opportunities the children have taken part in. PE will take place each week and we ask that all kits are kept in their locker in school. Please can I remind you that children are not permitted to wear jewellery and this include earrings. All PE kit needs to be labelled with your child's full name. Reading books and logs need to be in school daily and will be changed regularly. Children can bring snacks into school for break time, although healthy snack options are available for year 2. Children need to bring in a water bottle which can be kept in the classroom. This also needs to be named.

Our first topic is called `Ready, Steady, Grow!` During this term, the children will learn all about the Harvest festival and its importance to the world and our community. All the children in year 2 will take ownership over the preparation of the food bank collection and will perform a Harvest Festival production. More information regarding this will follow.

We look forward to working alongside you to support the development of your child and can't wait to begin this exciting journey!
