George and the Dragon
This week the children celebrated St George's day and read the story George and the Dragon. During this week, the children continued exploring measurements and were set the task of using non-standard units of measure to find the length of different dragons. In Literacy, the children have written letters to the dragon, created their own wanted posters and retold the story of St George.
On Friday's throughout this term, the children will take part in team building activities throughout the day. Some activities will also be tailored around developing our art skills or fine motor. This Friday, the children were given the opportunity to work as part of a team to build their very own water pipe system to transport water to the stream. The teams had to compete against each other and try and transport the most water. Everyone in the teams worked very hard and listened to each other's ideas and changed materials if they felt they were not correct. As well as this activity, the children painted their own cherry blossom trees and explored the skill weaving.
