Year 1 showed good knowledge and understanding of the Nativity after we began studying the story this week. We have had lots of wonderful discussion about how the characters could be feeling and the symbolism of the star above the stable.
Inspired by the beautiful stained glass windows found in churches, we have created our own 'stained glass' stars using tissue paper in black card frames. Of course we had to have some glitter to make sure our stars are the brightest in the sky!
We are excited to hang them onto our hoop ready to decorate our school hall for Christmas. Look out for them sparkling at the Christmas Fair on 6th December!
