Archie - Archbishop of York Leadership

The Young Leaders Award recognises that children are now very restricted in what they can do to help their communities. Archie has some ideas for ways you can be leaders in your own homes instead - click this link to see his suggestions.

Our next challenge!

A Walk of Faith was today's task. One partner was blindfolded while the other gave clear instructions to help them navigate an obstacle course, then we swapped so everyone experienced each role.

We are so excited to start our Young Leader Award this term! Archie is the character we will be learning alongside, he sets the challenges and helps motivate us. Through volunteering and taking part in personal, school and community challenges, we will develop understanding of the difference we can make to the world.

At the end of the first week of term, children will bring home their personal challenge sheet - Archie's Challenge Grid. Parents, we would appreciate your support in helping your children to attempt whichever of these challenges they choose.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask any of the Year 5 team.

This was our first session, in which we discussed leadership and what makes a good leader. We undertook the Cup Challenge - we had to work as a team to build a tower of cups without touching them, in only 3 minutes!

Remember Archie's favourite phrase - Be the change you want to see!
