2S

Welcome to 2W!

The Class Teacher is Miss Warner and the Teaching Assistant is Mrs Favell.

We are very excited to see what this term brings us! We will keep you up to date with all our news and exciting stories on our webpage!

Thank you so much for all your hard work on your projects, they look amazing! If you still haven't finished or have some at home, please keep bringing them in and we will do some each day. Well done Year Two!

We are having great fun in year 2, sawing, cutting and sticking our wooden frames together to create our houses of London!

This afternoon Year Two had a very fun drumming session with our governor! They loved every minute of learning how to play and creating a musical piece. Thank you Mrs Kerr and well done Year Two!

After our Collective Worship, led by Katie from the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Year Two had the opportunity to have a question and answer session with her, as she explained in more detail about the condition and what it’s like to live with it. The children thought of some excellent questions to ask and learnt lots about how they can they can help the charity.

The end of another term is now upon us! Next term our Topic will be 'Fire Fire' where the children will investigate the Great Fire of London, as well as explore and compare London of the past and London as it is now. The children will also embed and consolidate the skills they have learnt, across the curriculum, over the year as we move into our final term together.

Thank-you to everyone who joined us this afternoon for our mask making crafts! The children had a great time and their masks look fantastic!

Tony Coe Visits

Year Two loved their assembly this morning from visitor Tony Coe. He discussed his work with the RoadHog bus and the importance of being resilient, a very encouraging message at this time of the year. Thank you Tony!
